Swimming Pool Case Study: making the most of beautiful views + short lead-time (deadline)
The Client
Stewart and Carolyn Storey – Pirongia
Custom Design
This pool was built to the clients’ requirements:
It is an 11m x 4m Auqalux Liner Pool.
It has a 2m x 1600 walk in steps.
Site Challenges
The retaining wall had to be lifted and levelled to create an infinity wall, with no fence so they can overlook the Waikato River.
The pool from start to finish took 3-4 weeks.
It has slate coupers with a Quilla deck at one end and Peter Fell Coloured concrete for the rest of the surround.
The black pool fence against the glass fencing creates and endless vision and looks very smart.
Special Considerations – Time
Stewart and Carolyn wanted the pool in before Christmas.
They were very happy that we were able to accomplish this for them.
Swimming Pool Case Study: turn previously-loved pool into as-new much-loved swimming pool
The Client
Lisa Cowie – Te Kuiti
Desired Outcome
Turn Lisa’s old swimming pool into a new, usable swimming pool.
Swimming Pool – Old to New : Construction Process
The coppers and the old liner were removed.
Side panels were repaired, insulation foam was stuck to the walls, and the new liner and top rails were fitted.
The pool was filled with truck water.
New coupers were put around the top of the pool.
Project Challenges
We had concerns about the pool collapsing, so we had time issues, rather than site issues – we needed water pressure back in the pool.
So we had 3 guys on the job at once, so we could get it done.
Swimming Pool Case Study: give 28 year old pool a facelift + provide easy access into pool for its owner
The Client
Mrs Montgomerie – Alfriston – Auckland
Desired Outcome
The brief for this job was to facelift it to create a more modern, updated, in-ground pool.
This swimming pool no longer looks 28 years old, and Mrs Montgomerie is able to get in and out easily giving her many more years of swimming enjoyment.
Construction Process
We replaced any damaged pool sides, and replaced the pool liner with a dark blue one to give it a more up-dated look.
Special Considerations – Site & Client Access into Pool
This pool needed a few things done to make it a more modern updated in-ground pool.
One main concern for the client was access into her swimming pool.
We fixed this issue for her by putting in concrete steps and a stainless steel hand rail.
